You are invited to register for the upcoming New York Educational Rights Youth Forum that will take place on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. We have working with several community-based and education activists to advocate for passage of the Educational Rights Transparency for New York Families Act that will provide a pathway to eliminate educational inequities for Black and Brown students. The flyer below gives information on how you can register for this event.
The New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women honors all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in their service to this country.
We need our leaders to pass the Educational Rights Transparency for New York Families Act! No family should be left in the dark about the full set of learning opportunities and supports required by state law. #ert4nyf https://actionnetwork.org//senate-majority-leader-stewart-

Important Message from a friend and educator, Rev. Dana Farmer regarding the value of an education: The Law of Education: America is only obligated to provide our children access to an education. Serious Parents would identify if their child(ren) is being under educated or mis-educated and hold their child(ren) Accountable for Learning. Learning does not start with the teacher, but it begins within the student. Students decide whether: (1) to stop talking and listen, (2) to take notes (3) to ask question when information is not clear (4) do homework and (5) study. When teaching grade appropriate content, It's within the students to LEARN. Parents, Teachers and Students must be held accountable for our youth education. An "A" in the eighth grade doing 6TH Grade work is not an "A".
