Summertime: Stepping back and looking at where you started and where you are today When I was first married, I took my wife Lisa to Cape Cod to show her the great beach house my dad took us to every summer. After some wrong turns we found the road, but not the house. Up and down the road we went, but there was only what looked like a rundown shack. I was recently invited to speak on a panel for the Community Foundations of The Hudson Valley on the topic: Family Business Perpetuation and Succession Planning. Fellow panalists were Alvino Lo of Wilmington Trust, Thomas Duran of Concerned Capital. March Gallager of CFHVNY moderated. I also enjoyed meeting so many wonderful business leaders after the presentation.

Earlier this month I was honored to speak at the Annual Access: Supports for Living Golf Tournament and give back to this organization that serves so many families in our region. Special thanks to Mark Lye who has hosted this charity Pro-Am golf event for the past 20 years and the many incredible pro athletes like Tony Richardson who come back each year in support of the mission.
