In the past 36 hours, the Schenectady Police Department has responded to, or been made aware of seven overdoses that occurred within the City; sadly including o...ne fatality. Currently, we are gathering more information and an investigation is underway. Although several substances are suspected throughout all of the incidents, it is possible that multiple overdoses are related to adulterated cocaine. We are asking anyone who is currently using any substance, or knows someone who is using, to spread this information and help save others. We are bringing attention to the stigma of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health AND the important role our "Fur Babies" play in our healing! If you are feeling the stress and mental health impact of the times, if you or a family member are struggling with addiction, or if you want to learn about a new healthy activity to support your recovery, you are warmly invited to join us. We will spend time in the present moment, allowing ourselves to restore, unwind and let go, and breathe as we linger in RPA's beautiful Albert Family Community Forest.
