Cows consume a fair amount of byproducts, or , if you will, waste from other food processing activities, and keeps those things out of landfills (where they would decompose and produce methane). Derrick explains why the new ‘controversy’ over palm oil byproducts fed to cows is just a ploy for your money.
Hi all, this is a drone view of our "home farm" located in the town of Mannsville. I shot this in the fall 2 years ago. It is the original farm that was named Locust Hill Farm back in 1974 when it housed 40 registered Holsteins. This is the sister dairy to North Ridge Dairy. Over the past 40+ years it has grown into this beautiful place that I personally call home. Together, Locust Hill Farm and Northridge Dairy stand together as Locust Hill Dairy LLC.
North Ridge Dairy and its parent company (Locust Hill Dairy LLC.), is looking to expand its team heading into this spring. Do you want to feel a part of something exciting and challenging? Each and every day here on our farms, we are faced with new challenges and achievements. We want you to be a part of it. Our dairy is home to over 5,500 animals that need the proper care and attention to give them the most potential as a dairy cow. We thrive to grow these animals the h...ighest quality feed on over 5,000 acres of crop land. Whether your experienced in agriculture or not, understand that this is a family business that operates as a team. We are proud of the team members who have spent many years with us. They offer a lifetime of agricultural and mechanical experiences that benefit the farm, while building one another's skill levels Areas of interest include; Mechanics, Welders, Equipment operator, Animal welfare duties, and much more. Locust Hill Dairy LLC offers competitive wages that include overtime as well as vacation pay, payed sick time, health insurance, simple IRA employer match, and uniforms Please call Brian Muto (315-778-8356) or Bruce Gibson (585-203-4126). Come join this wonderful family. Spring cleaning, toy time
North Ridge Dairy at 5:30am this morning. You have to scroll to see the whole rainbow. It was too huge to fit in a single frame so panoramic was needed.
No doubt we have the best Christmas sweater at the cheese plant today!! This load of milk is going in style.
Our Oswego County Dairy Princess on the road. Thanks for all you do!
Tomorrow we begin the process of chopping our corn crop. This year we’ll harvest 3,400 acres of corn for our cows. That’s around 60,000 tons of feed that needs to travel from field to farm. Please be patient with us and we promise to be careful and neighborly. Thanks to all of our neighbors, friends and family.
Our dairy delivers nearly all of our milk to Great Lakes Cheese. Check them out at the NYS Fair today!
Northridge Dairy and Locusthill Dairy are both looking to add a mechanic to our team. As many of you know we operate two separate dairy farms under one company. We have a wonderful team of very experienced and dedicated members who we proudly employ. Come be a part team. This position calls for about 50-60 hours a week. Experience is flexible. Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience. Positive attitude and strong work ethic is a must. We get busy and it gets intense during our cropping season. Whether your looking to gain experience turning wrenches or your looking to stretch your experiences into agriculture, we offer all kinds of opportunities and exciting experiences to be a part of. Benefits included. Please contact Brian Muto 315-778-8356 or message me with interest and questions. Thanks
Save the date!!
As if you need a reason....
In his first 6 months in office Rep. Brindisi has made significant contributions to agriculture and dairy in particular. It’s nice to be represented in Washington by someone ‘walking the walk’ for us farmers.
Moonrise over North Ridge Dairy
North Ridge Dairy was proud to host Representative Anthony Brindisi!! The Congressman held a round table discussion with farmers on a number of issues important to all NY farmers.
