Don't miss the screening of Scott Joplin (1977) at the Main Library tomorrow, February 5 at 1:00 pm in the Ossie Davis Theater! A discussion of the film with librarian and film historian Chris Poggiali will follow the screening. Registration requested but not required at https://bit.ly/NRPLFilmScottJoplin SCOTT JOPLIN (1977) stars Billy Dee Williams as the legendary composer and pianist who popularized the uniquely American music art form known as ragtime during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You’ll have a gourd ol’ time with this week’s Pick-Me-Up: A Jack-O-Lantern! And it’s a lot safer and cleaner than carving a real pumpkin too! There's a new, easy-to-make craft each Monday and available for the rest of the week as long as we still have them. Supplies are limited. First come, first served. Available at both the Main Children's Room and Huguenot Children's Library during browsing hours. We're happy to bring these out to you during curbside service too!
