Mountain Wave developed over the eastern Catskill Mountains Sunday, Nov 1. I was fortunate to record our flight through the rotor and then climb to over 12,500 feet. SkySight accurately predicted when and where wave would develop. We connected with it at just the right time. Enjoy the photos and videos.
Congratulations Caeben Dady on his first solo flight in a glider! Caeben worked hard over the summer, arriving early to the airport, getting gliders and golf carts ready, helping at the flight line, and getting many flights in. A big thank you to the involvement of Caeben's very supportive family and our instructors Marty Opitz and Russ Parry.

Nutmeg Youth Members preparing for their instructional flights.
Some nice soaring Saturday, June 20th but had to cut it short due to a slow moving thunderstorm.
Great soaring weather this past weekend and yes, instructional flights have started again. Depending on the weather, instructor and tow pilot availability, we will be flying every weekend this summer. Our encampment week is July 4 - July 12. We will be flying as many days that week as possible. Come visit us at the Freehold Airport.
