New York Company is back and we are thrilled to present two wonderful shows to you! Julius Caesar: Reimagined by our own Sheila Bandyopayhyay, and set in a dystopia resembling our own, the cast integrated masks, and distancing into their retelling of this powerful political story. All rehearsals and shoots were strictly Covid compliant and the show was performed live without an audience and captured on film for an exciting and safe at-home viewing experience. Julius Caesar wi...ll be broadcast on December 17 at 7pm EST/4pm PST. Macbeth: In a new adaptation set in an abandoned theatre, our company, under the direction of Michael F. Toomey, created a world reflective of our own empty theatres. Cast and crew were stringent in their Covid testing and safety protocols. Macbeth was rehearsed and performed live with no audience and captured on film so this engaging production could be safely shared with audiences joining us from their homes. Macbeth will be broadcast on December 18 at 7pm EST/4pm PST. We invite you to view the NY Company's Shakespeare Series from the comfort of your couch! And with that, our 2019-2020 Company Season comes to an end. Thank you all for your support throughout. We are wishing this talented group all the best in the world outside of the Academy's walls. A new group of company members joins us in June.
