The NYC DOC Hellenic Society is offering prayers for Police Officer Shay Mikalonis who was gravely injured when he was shot in the head from behind while attempting to make an arrest in the middle of a riot. Officer Mikalonis is still in grave condition after being shot during an encounter with rioters last night on Las Vegas Boulevard.

On behalf of The NYCD Hellenic Society, Thank You Village Idiot Irish Pub for donating meals to the New York City Department of Correction, Correction Officers. NYC Correction Officers have been protecting the City while working grueling hours. Often Correction Officers are the unsung heroes.
