Manhattan Bridge 15.07.2021

Manhattan Bridge Notice: NYC DOT will continue the rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with weekday, single-lane closures on the Brooklyn-bound Upper Roadway from Monday, May 24th to Friday, May 28th. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through May. The bike path and pedestrian path will continue to be narrowed at the towers. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

Manhattan Bridge Notice: NYC DOT will continue the rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with single-lane closures on the Manhattan-bound Upper Roadway from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday, February 1st to Friday, February 5th dependent on weather and field conditions. The ongoing single-lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through February. The bike path and pedestrian path will continue to be narrowed at the towers.

During this closure, the Lower Roadway will be reversed to operate in the Brooklyn-bound direction. The ongoing single lane closure currently in effect on the Lower Roadway will continue. The bike and pedestrian paths will continue to be narrowed at the towers and anchorages.

Manhattan Bridge Notice: NYC DOT will continue the rehabilitation of Manhattan Bridge with the following traffic impacts dependent on weather and field conditio...ns for the week ending August 7th: August 3rd August 7th: One lane on the Brooklyn-bound Upper Roadway will be closed and the lower roadway will be reversed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The ongoing single lane closure on the Lower Roadway will continue through August. The walkway will be narrowed for the replacement of railing panels although at least five feet will be available at all times. The bikeway will continue to be narrowed at the towers.

Instead there w...ill be single lane rolling closures, one lane at a time on both upper roadways as per the schedule below for washing and maintenance of the bridge. Manhattan-bound: 12:01 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Brooklyn-bound: 1:00 a.m. -9:00 a.m. At least one lane will always be available on each of the upper roadways at all times.

Manhattan Bridge Notice: From June 29th to July 2nd, one lane will be closed on the Brooklyn-bound Upper Roadway and the Lower Roadway will be reversed from 10:...00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this reversal, two lanes on the Lower Roadway and one lane on the South Upper Roadway will be Brooklyn-bound and all Manhattan-bound traffic will use two lanes on the North Upper Roadway. See graphic below. This closure is to repair trench drains and install steel plates. Motorists are advised to use caution. The bike path and pedestrian path will continue to be narrowed at the towers. The ongoing single lane closure on the lower roadway will continue through July. See more

Manhattan Bridge Notice: Single lane closures will continue on the upper roadways of the Manhattan Bridge until June 19th. Please note that at least one travel... lane will always be available on the upper and lower roadways. These closures are dependent on the weather and field conditions. The bike path and pedestrian path will continue to be narrowed at the towers. Manhattan-bound Upper Roadway: One lane will be closed. See graphic below. NIGHTTIME: June 15th to June 19th: 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Brooklyn-bound Upper Roadway: One lane will be closed. See graphic below. Trench drains will be repaired, and temporary steel plates will be installed during this closure. Motorists are advised to use caution. DAYTIME: June 15th to June 19th: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this single lane closure on the Upper Roadway, the Lower Roadway will be reversed. NIGHTTIME: June 15th to Jun 19th: 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Single lane closure with no lower roadway reversal.
