NY Ticket Defenders

This is an old post but motorist keep doing it. Pls read and listen. Yesterday was hired for a case. Motorist had gotten 4 bad tickets. Maybe one was deserving. I filed a motion that same day. But while talking with him, and looking at his abstract, I realized his license was suspended. He didn’t know. I warned him to not drive. ... I told him how easy it was for me to fix his license so he can drive. He said he would do it later in the day. I begged him not to drive. A 6 foot 4 black man driving in a white neighborhood. He will get stopped even if he drove like an angel. Fast forward. Later that day, pulled over for a busted tail light. Guess what- arrested for driving with a suspended license. Now we have to go to criminal court. Don’t give the cops a reason to pull u over. Get ur broken lights fixed, remove ur tints, pay your driver assessment fees, don’t pay your car insurance late, update your correct address with DMV so u will always get their notices- the Inconvenience to you-costs a lot less than paying a lawyer and having a mark on ur record. It’s a crime to drive with a suspended license and Nassau is not a good place to get this kind of charge. Listen to me! And p.s. don’t text and drive. Don’t even look at ur phone. Don’t give the cops a reason to pull u over!
