Congratulations to Dr. Lindsey's acupuncture patient Pie and owner Vicky Rotolo Brachfeld! Pie just achieved his coon hunting Grand Night Champion and is the first dog to receive AKC and UKC Grand Championships in showing in addition to Field and Night Hunt Championships (and multiple other awards). Pie is an amazing dog who deserves every one of his awards. Enjoy your retirement from competition Pie, you deserve it!

Even cats can relax for acupuncture in the right circumstances. Here's handsome Vegas enjoying being brushed while receiving acupuncture at home lying on his favorite coat (you can see one pink needle between his shoulders). Vegas was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease several years ago after weight loss so severe his owner feared he may have cancer. After a combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine, he has regained all his weight and is doing great. Maintenance acupuncture treatments every few months keep him happy and healthy!

Sometimes we all just need someone to be there for us. Meet sweet Bailey holding paws with her friend Merlin as they both nap during her acupuncture treatment.

Meet Chance, a 14-year-old Labrador who has been suffering the effects of arthritis and back leg weakness for some time. Despite his age, Chance is still able to enjoy 45-minute walks in his Manhattan neighborhood thanks to a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, laser therapy and Adequan (an injectable joint supplement). Chance also likes to watch in the mirror during his treatment! Fortunately, Chance's owner purchased pet insurance for him, so 90% of the cost of this treatment is covered by the insurance company. Many pet insurance companies now cover acupuncture and other complementary treatments.
