After great consideration, the state mandated outdoor gathering restrictions are still too limiting for us to allow the traditional Oatka Festival. The full festival 2021 has been cancelled. We will have an adaptation including the 50/50 raffle and a drive through food pick up the weekend of July 17-18. For planning, timing and the safety of all attendees, this was decided to be the best choice for the continued health of our community. We were also facing the Wolcott Street ...project and WSS building repairs. These projects are fantastic for improvements, however, restricting the space that the public can gather. If you are in town over that weekend or at any time in the summer, we encourage you to patronize our great shops, restaurants and businesses in LeRoy. 2022 will be bigger and better! We know it will be great to see everyone again, so SAVE THE DATE July 16-17 2022! #comehomein2022!
The Festival Committee is keeping a close eye on changing guidance from NYS, Genesee County and the Village of LeRoy. We met on March 10 and decided to meet again on March 30 to make a final decision regarding this year’s Oatka Festival. Check back at the beginning of April for updates! Continued good health and safety to all.
Due to the uncertainty of NYS, Genesee County Health Department, Village of LeRoy and LeRoy Central School District restrictions for a festival this year, the Oatka Festival Committee is constantly reviewing the regulations and is reserving a decision until we can get a clearer picture of the options. Currently, a festival of this nature is not allowed. As the situation evolves, we will re-evaulate. Our next meeting is March 10, 2021. We will regularly update our website and Facebook with the latest information.
The 2020 Oatka Festival in LeRoy, NY has been cancelled for this year. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, the need for social distancing, and our concern for the health of the community, vendors, volunteers, and attendees we have decided to cancel the Oatka Festival for 2020. We are in the process of contacting vendors and those who have donated. Next year’s Oatka Festival is scheduled for July 17 & 18, 2021.... We thank everyone for their continued support of the Oatka Festival and we look forward to next year's festival. Thank you, The Oatka Festival Committee
