Orchard Park Fire District EMS exists to deliver the best possible pre-hospital care to the members of our community in their time of need. Through community service and comprehensive medical care, their skilled and compassionate providers aim to improve outcome and quality of life before, during, and after an emergency.

While many have seen the recent guidelines from the CDC and Governor Andrew Cuomo regarding masks and vaccinations, but, please note, masks are still required to be worn at all times while inside Kaleida Health facilities regardless of vaccination status.

We continue to work with the NYSDOH to offer the #COVID19Vaccine to any employee that would like one. We will continue to provide updates as we learn more. This week is #RespiratoryCareWeek, an annual event that recognizes the respiratory care profession and promotes awareness of lung health issues and practices. Respiratory therapists are part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that helps achieve successful patient outcomes, and they have played a vital role in the fight against #COVID19. Kaleida Health’s respiratory therapists provide a wide range of care from neonates to adults. They manage all ventilators, intubatio...ns, extubations; obtain and analyze blood gases; respond to all rapid responses and code blues throughout the hospitals; work with pulmonary departments to help patients with chronic lung diseases; assist with transporting patients to and from outlying healthcare facilities; assist with high-risk deliveries; and work to educate patients and the community on asthma management techniques. Kaleida Health Laboratories participated in an Adopt-an-Angel program with Gateway-Longview, a child and family service organization that provides care, counseling and support to children and families.
