Our region continues to see a dramatic increase in Covid-19 cases and increased hospitalizations associated with it. The counties in our region include: Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, Schuyler, Yates, Steuben, and Chemung. Please continue to WEAR A MASK when out and SOCIALLY DISTANCE. COVID-19 Update for October 27, 2020 646 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. -10 new cases (2 associated with long-term care facilities and 8 community-acquired (not in long-term care) cases today. - Ages: Under 19 (2), 19-29 (1), 40-49 (1), 50-59 (2), 60-69 (3) and 70-79 (1) years-old category. - Residence: Residents are from Victor (3), Geneva (1), Canandaigua (2), Clifton Springs (1) , Farmington (2) and Shortsville (...1) - Make-up of new cases: Two associated with different long-term care facilities, household contact of a known positives, school associated cases and a few that are currently under investigation - As of today, 85 COVID-19 positive individuals (are being isolated, monitored and are checked on daily by Public Health staff). This is in addition to 497 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases) that are also being monitored and contacted daily (totaling 582 in the isolation and quarantine category). - Negative tests: 199 negative test results reported in the last 24 hours - Hospital: 7 COVID-19 positive resident are in the hospital - Recoveries: 529 recoveries reported since the start of the crisis. Increase of 18 residents today! - Travelers: 614 registered travelers - Colleges: No changes in reported college data since 10/22/2020 - Deaths: No change in the number of deaths. Make-up of new cases: Several household contact of a known positives (extremely high risk), a person living in congregant living and two that we are currently investigating As of today, 93 COVID-19 positive individuals (are being isolated, monitored and are checked on daily by Public Health staff). This is in addition to 461 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases) that are also being monitored and contacted daily (totaling 554 in the isolation and quarantine category). As of today, 96 COVID-19 positive individuals (are being isolated, monitored and are checked on daily by Public Health staff). This is in addition to 474 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases) that are also being monitored and contacted daily (totaling 570 in the isolation and quarantine category). Travelers: - 551 travelers are on precautionary quarantine in Ontario County and being followed by NYSDOH tracers. - A decrease of 9 travelers being monitored by state tracers.
