Tune in at 9:00am today on the Pattern for Progress Facebook Newsfeed to watch the Housing Update

O'Keeffe & McCann LLP 08.12.2020

For the past several years, we have offered a gesture of thanks to those clients of ours who’ve served in the Military, Police Department, or Fire Department, and discounted our legal fees. In recent weeks, it couldn’t be clearer that those medical professionals who serve on the front lines of keeping us well, and comforting those that are lost, are no less deserving. Nurses, EMT’s, Doctors.... From the bottom of our hearts....THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!

Some closings are more fun than others, even when we have to adapt for safety! #drivethroughclosings #adapt #perseverance #fullservice #andchecktheoil

We have five closings happening today. FIVE!!! We are adapting to the new circumstances to keep transactions proceeding, but in a safe manner. We have some staff working from home, and for the limited staff permitted on site, we are isolated throughout the office. Visitors are no longer permitted on site. Mail and packages are sanitized outside before taking the items into the office. For those closings that we can’t do by mail/wire, we are keeping the signers in their cars, first passing them hand sanitizers, then the documents to sign. We are at hand through the closed window to witness for notaries, and to explain the documents as usual. We are practicing impeccable hygiene and sanitation. AND, we are GETTIN. IT. DONE.

Its a very strange world, trying to keep operational with a limited presence, and remote workers. One positive lingering impact I suspect this may have is that it is forcing the local legal industry to learn and adapt to electronic signatures, and even notaries, which may (I hope) result in speedier transactions in the future.
