ATTENTION After several weeks of planning Miller Hose Fire Company has made a decision to hold their annual Gun & 4 Wheeler Raffle as a Facebook Live event.... The committee was in contact with state and local officials but in the end the restrictions that are in place because of Covid 19 we weren't allowed to hold indoors or outdoors events. The raffle will be on September 19 starting at 2pm. People can tune in on my Facebook page David Glen Hoffman or Miller Hose Fire Company page. Hi everyone, We are officially open for business as of today. We have the Phase One guidelines in place and hope to see you all soon. We are busy setting things up for the season. We weren't sure if that was going to happen or not due to the closure so we held back on some preparations. To celebrate our 24th year of doing business in Olcott, we invested in a new item. We now have an awesome new 24 hour bait and tackle machine fully stocked with all the basic necessities.... We will be keeping it stocked with fresh bait and tackle daily. There won't be any junk in there wasting space. It is going to be fun stocking hot items in it! It has live fatheads, crawlers, waxies, red worms, mealworms, etc. N & D Pacific Herring Strips, DW cut bait, A-Tom-Mik flies and rigs, Diabolical meat rigs, line, hooks, floats, split shot, sinkers , divers, spin doctors, cleos, Rapalas, jigs and even some nice cold Red Bull. We can't forget those face masks/sanitizer, boat plugs and rain ponchos right there in the machine. It takes credit cards, debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc and cash. Hopefully it keeps you in bait no matter what time you need it. It works 100 percent better than our original bait machine that only took one kind of cup. We found that with less than a day notice, it was a little tough to start up shop again. There were a lot of loose ends to tie up. Other than Wally's Park Place, we are the oldest mom and pop shop left in Olcott. We aren't just the Boat Doctors anymore; we added Tackle Barn so people know we don't just fix boats here. This pandemic is really hitting us mom and pop places hard. That includes the fishing charters that have been waiting for the green light along with us. It has been so hard to turn away customers who just want to fish. Who would of thought something like this would stop you from your favorite pastime? We are happy to be back and fully intend to support fishing and boating as long as you will have us. Happy Thoughts, Jim & Karen

Hi All, The Town of Newfane (Olcott) marina is now open. You now pay to launch. The gas pumps are open too.... The fish cleaning station is open too! Get rid of the Corona blues and do some safe boating.
