A little over a year ago, I felled a small cherry tree on a property to allow space for building a 2300 sq ft post and beam addition, to a house that was originally built in the late 1700s. That cherry is now dry and ready to work. This cutting board is from one of the slabs that I milled from that cherry log. What beautiful coloration and figure! The curling throughout the board was a pleasant surprise. Now what to make from the rest of the lumber

Justin came out to the shop today and got a heck of a start on a nice little cherry charcuterie board today

Building/installation complete. Bookcases are 11 feet wide, 58" tall and 12 " deep. Shelving made from 3/4" birch ply, faced and topped with maple. Everything is mortised or rabbets for added stren and stability. Fun project

Raised panel accent wall and a paneled "bench " to disguise the cold air return.

Installing a face frame to give a raised panel effect. Should make for an interesting accent wall.
