#AAPIHeritageMonth Spotlight: Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month has taken on deeper meaning for some of our OW colleagues this May Aadit Vyas, a Data Science Consultant in our New York Office, shares that as the son of immigrants from Gujarat, India, the recent escalation of anti-Asian bias has made me hyper aware of my own identities as well as made me work harder to be mindful of the identities of other people" He advises allies to keep in mind that even with the best intentions and education each of us harbor internalized bias and racism, so we each need to consciously work together to adopt an anti-racist mindset in our interactions with others #OWCulture #OWInclusion #aapi

Servus! As the traditional #Munich #Oktoberfest isn't taking place this year, we were so excited to host a #Wiesn-themed virtual event for Oliver Wyman alumni! Alumni Partner Dietmar Kottmann invited former and current colleagues to a virtual reunion. Together with our Partner Hendrik Willenbruch and Kai Anderson, Partner at Promerit, they discussed the topic "New Work in the New Normal. Brave New Working World?. "I recognized that our firm is truly international after working on a project in South Africa. It felt like someone invented a teleport!" During the project, Maria met virtually with colleagues from South Africa, th...e UK, Dubai, Germany, Turkey, China, India, and Singapore, finding ways to juggle all the different time zones "I still miss having coffee breaks in the offices," she says, "but now I can meet new people from other offices during virtual coffee chats.
