PRESS RELEASE: The Onondaga County Dept. of Transportation will host a Public Information Web Site to present the proposed reconstruction of the Tuttle Road Bridge over Tuttle Brook in the Town of Cicero from Tuesday, September 22, 2020 - Wednesday, October 7, 2020. To access the Web Site go to: www.ongov.net and click on the Tuttle Road Bridge Project Information button. The proposed project is located on Tuttle Road approximately 2,000 feet northerly of NYS Route 31 in t...he Town of Cicero. The existing single span steel girder bridge has a low condition rating based on the NYS Dept. of Transportation's biannual inspection. The bridge deck and fascia girders will be replaced along with substructure repairs. An upgraded guide rail system will be installed. This project is scheduled for construction in 2021. This project is a locally administered federal aid project. It is being progressed by Onondaga County Dept. of Transportation in coordination with the NYS Dept. of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. Presently, the project is in the preliminary design phase. A detailed overview of the project, along with a question and comment tab will be available at the web site. Representatives from the Onondaga County Dept. of Transportation and the design consultant will answer questions from interested parties, and will obtain comments and input for final design.
