Psst. Hey, Finger Lakes. Did you know that we have 12 billboards in the region spreading the message to remain diligent in our efforts to Clean, Drain, Dry boat...s and gear. Today's weather may have folks traveling to the nearest waterway. Make sure to stop any hitchhikers like Hydrilla or starry stonewort that love the opportunity to take a free hike. Have you seen our billboards? Which one do you like best? I like the trash unused bait.

While not glamorous, winter grains are the backbone of a practical cover crop program. This field was planted to an oats and triticale cover crop mix in August. The oats were recently harvested as a forage and the triticale will remain & continue to grow over the fall and winter months to be harvested as a forage in the spring. Planting cover crops that double as forage provides production benefits to the farm as well as environmental benefits.
