Thanks to the preschool class from Our Children’s Place in Canandaigua. They invited Sheriff Henderson this morning for a visit and presented him with badges that they colored for his deputies. We thank them for this and had a terrific visit.

Congratulations to Lieutenant John Falbo who was promoted to Chief Deputy. Chief Deputy Falbo will be third in command at the Sheriff’s Office and oversees the operations of the road patrol.

Tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 490 this morning. Thankfully, only minor injuries. Great job by Farmington Service in rigging up the recovery and tow!

**** State Route 332 is now open**** State Route 332 in the Town of Canandaigua is closed between Emerson Rd and Parkside Dr while the Sheriff's Office investigates a serious injury crash. Please avoid the area.

Congratulations to Deputy Rob Morse who retired after 20 years of service and Correctional Nursing Director Joan Mitchell with 21 years. We honor their service to Ontario County and wish them an enjoyable retirement.

The smile says it all. Our last delivery of toys for the Shop with a Cop program. Corrections Deputy Tyler Cummings and Sheriff Henderson made the delivery this afternoon.

Congratulations to Mike McConnon who was sworn in this afternoon as a Corrections Deputy. His brother, Trooper Ryan McConnon was by his brothers side, along with Sheriff Henderson.

Deputies Griffin, Calabrese, Sgt Legg and Stacy Legg running with the Special Olympic torch this morning. They ran from the Canandaigua City line to the Geneva City line, which helps support Special Olympics. They rock!

Correction Deputies Peter Lovejoy, Oliver Storie and Joe Czworka shopping today to help support the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Over $700.00 was donated by members of the corrections division to support this campaign. Way to go!

Members have been on the firearms range all month, training under all conditions, to maintain safety for all.

Fortunately, the driver of this Tesla was uninjured today in Bristol. The same can't be said for this all electric car, fully submerged upon arrival.

Snow has arrived. You are required by law to clear all the snow off of your vehicle prior to driving on the highways. Drive for the weather conditions, slow down, turn your headlights on and make sure you have good tires for snow and icy conditions.

Congratulations to Communications Officer Chris Tiffany and Corrections Deputy Pat Thorpe for receiving the 7th District American Legion award this evening. Officer Tiffany was named Communications Officer of the year and Deputy Thorpe was named Corrections Officer of the year.
