On Sunday, October 25, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon attended the Divine Liturgy at St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, Washington, DC. His Beatitude did not celebrate the liturgy in order to minimize any health risk, as he had been traveling the previous few days to serve at the funeral services for the newly departed Metropolitan Theodosius. After Liturgy, His Beatitude intoned "Memory Eternal" for Metropolitan Theodosius, and then had the opportunity to briefly speak with the Honorable Alex Azar, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, who attends Saint Nicholas Cathedral.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon presided over the Hierarchical Burial Divine Liturgy for the newly departed former Primate of the Orthodox Church in America, Metropolitan Theodosius (Lazor). The Liturgy was celebrated and live-streamed at the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration on Friday, October 23 at at 10:00 am. A Panikhida was celebrated on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00 pm and the Burial service was served on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 pm.
