Keep your outdoor lights on all night to deter unwanted guests from pranking or vandalizing your home Installing motion sensor lights also deter unwanted guests ... Leave your car in the garage or a safe place If you plan to hand out candy, be sure to leave a well lit and clear pathway to your door Be sure to stock up on candy to hand out Put your phone down and be alert Use battery operated candles to light up pumpkins and other decorations If you are taking any kids trick or treating make sure their costumes are light colored or reflective and have them carry a light or glow stick so they are easily seen Use face paint instead of a mask that may be hard to see out of and could block vision Sort and check candy for expiration dates, signs of tampering and ingredient information if your children have any allergies.
