That loaf of bread had to turn out gigantic and look like a monster trying to reach out for them as it started to grow out of the oven. I wanted the bread to be real..to look like a real loaf. Jim (Paisley, first AD) had to make hundreds of calls to a find a bakery that would attempt this job. He ...finally found one willing to try it. We had to have two loaves, one as a stand in, each to weigh 300 pounds. After our show close to three hundred people in our audience came down from their seats to the Tropicana set. We had tables with a few gallons of jam, jellies and butter, and everybody enjoyed a piece of our good bread and took the rest of their slice home.
