I wasn’t sure he would like me, but he welcomed me with open arms as his son’s novia. Years later he played trumpet at our wedding as I walked down the aisle. The following year he kissed my forehead when I gave birth to his first grandson. He was a talented musician and a wonderful abuelo. Sadly he passed on Christmas Eve. This is my mom. She passed one year ago today. My hero, my champion. I wake up at 4am some nights gasping for breath, missing her - hearing her voice and wishin...g I could have done more to ease her pain during those final months. Yesterday was my store’s 7 year anniversary. I thought I could pick up the phone and tell her Mommy there’s a line. People are waiting to get in to shop. We did it. But then I remembered that I can’t call her by phone anymore. Later in the afternoon my brother came in with an envelope full of old photos that we thought were lost forever. And look who was in there smiling. Mommy. Just letting me know that she was watching and sending a few folks my way. My angel always protecting me. I miss you Mommy and I will always love you. If ever there was a year to give thanks, it's this one. November 29th marks our 7th anniversary. We weren't sure we would still be here back in April. But thanks to all of you and a few special angels looking out for us, we made it. And we want to make it safely to 2021. So we are moving our gift wrap station and pop up vendors next door to Stacked Yoga studio. This arrangement helps us keep our staff and customers safe and it helps the studio with expenses for the month.
