Things have changed and I want to continue to be and feel useful by doing some writing. I will write about whatever I think will be most useful and appropriate to the populations I am currently serving and trying to serve. Currently the people who I see by Zoom or in person are , to a large degree, dealing with the following: Managing anxiety and stress and Attention Deficit Disorder Recovery from addiction Dealing with obesity, weight loss and establishing a healthy relatio...nship with food. With these people and populations in mind, I will share what I have found most helpful. If you are benefiting, please let me know and I will continue. I can also focus on specific challenges if you let me know what they are for you. I plan to post the writings on my blog at www.peacefulpresence.com unless I receive some guidance to place them elsewhere.

We are on a mission to promote health, vitality and peace and it is much bigger than any one location. Perhaps my a park, the beach or my backyard or yours will need to serve for group classes for now. Current group Zoom Classes:... I have stopped sending out class reminders as frequently, but classes with me are still happening. You will see that they are also beginning to take on a new rhythm. Today it looked a bit more like yoga-dance than regular yoga. Its all good because you don't need to do anything your not comfortable with and you don't need to show your video. You can always see our schedule from www.peacefulpresence.com Regarding women's indoor yoga: To my understanding the only way we can open our physical studio in Cedarhurst is with masks required. By and large, our teachers and students just do not seem willing to do yoga while wearing masks the whole time. If you have an outdoor location where you can see some of our classes happening please let me know. Perhaps there is a park, the beach, or someone's yard where we can have enough extra space between us and thereby not need to wear masks. Food for thought: It is sad to see people get so polarized that they don't feel that they can speak or really listen to one another. We all have our own narratives and beliefs about what truth is but in the quiet space beneath the narrative there is a vast space of shared humanity. It is a place of love and kindness where we know that life matters, is precious, and is sacred. This is the common ground that we can meet in. Yoga and meditation lead to that spacious place. There are other ways to get there too. No matter how you get there and what "side you are on" let's meet there and talk and listen to one another with compassion and receptivity. Lets grow stronger let's see if we can peacefully grow more just. Here is a good saying for all who practice yoga: Let the change that needs to happen in the world begin with me.
