Walked into the break room this afternoon and found the secret citizens that support their police department dropped off snacks and refreshments! The silent majority has been supporting us and continues to support us!!!

These days have become unprecedented times. With a pandemic that has completely altered everyday life and affected each and every person and social issues that have placed our country in turmoil, the Officers at the Penn Yan PBA want you to know that we are still here for you. While the topics of justice and policing have been at the forefront of widespread protest and reform, Police worldwide have received a hatred that has never been seen before. While the distrust of Polic...e is widespread and hit close to home, here in our community the Officers of the Penn Yan PBA still feel the love of our community. We have received much support, thanks and appreciation from our citizens. Our Officers are often approached by citizens who express their gratitude for the work our Officers do. We have received many tokens of appreciation lately from the community, including cookies, coffee, donuts, cards and letters of thanks and even hand drawn pictures from children. We appreciate them all! We recently recieved this lovely bouquet of flowers "From a grateful resident". Thank you. Thank you for the flowers, for the cookies, for the coffee, for the encouraging words, thank you for the appreciation. We do our best every day to make this community great, but we couldn't do it without the support of you, the community. Keep on being great! See more
