On this special feast day, we celebrate St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a French saint who entered the Visitation Monastery in Paray-le-Monial, France at age 23. Here, Our Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary and showed her his Sacred Heart, originating the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord. Visit and pray at the Chapel of the Apparitions In Paray-le-Monial on a pilgrimage with Peter's Way Tours and, like St. Margaret Mary, show your devotion to His Sacred Heart.

Today we celebrate the Spanish Carmelite reformer and mystic St. Teresa of Avila, whose life of prayer enriched the church. Her writings on the soul’s journey t...o God are considered masterpieces. On a Peter's Way Tours pilgrimage to Spain, like the priests of the Archdiocese of New York pictured here, you will visit key sites associated with her life and work. On the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, we pray with all the pilgrims who traveled with Peter’s Way Tours to places of Marian devotion, such as sanctuaries of Our Lady in Lourdes, Fatima, La Salette, Altotting, Ephesus, Mt. Carmel, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Knock, Mexico City, Czestochowa, Montserrat, Zaragoza, and so many more! May our shepherds always model for us true devotion and love for Our Lady. Here, Timothy Cardinal Dolan prays the rosary in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on a pilgrimage with Peter's Way Tours.

Today we honor St. Thérèse of Lisieux as the patron saint of the missions. Though she never traveled, in her Carmel cloister she loved praying for the missions. On a Peter’s Way pilgrimage to the Shrines of France, you will visit the Carmelite Monastery in Lisieux (https://www.carmeldelisieux.fr/carmelites-de-lisieux.html), where Thérèse prayed and lived the last nine years of her life. Upon entering the Convent Chapel, you will feel a deep communion with St. Thérèse!

On this feast of St. Pius of Pietrelcina, we are invited to contemplate Jesus crucified and his great love for us. A Peter’s Way pilgrim took this photo while visiting Pietrelcina, birthplace of St. (Padre) Pio. With Peter’s Way Tours you can follow in this beloved saint’s footsteps, starting at his childhood home and continuing on to his shrine in San Giovanni Rotondo.

Today is the feast of St. Matthew, a tax collector who answered the call to be an apostle of Christ. Peter's Way pilgrims who visit the "Eternal City" of Rome will visit the Church of St. Louis of France, in which hangs Caravaggio’s masterpiece, "The Calling of St. Matthew," as well as the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, where Camillo Rusconi's sculpture of St. Matthew is displayed in the nave.
