In Honor of the National Nursing Home Week's theme, Through the Seasons, we celebrated Fall with a Pep Rally and Tail Gate Party! Our Cheerleaders are #1. The residents enjoyed popcorn with the festivities!

In Honor of the National Nursing Home Week's theme, Through the Seasons, we celebrated Winter with a Christmas Flair! Christmas Cookie Decorating, Christmas Clothing and fun for everyone! Even the Grinch had a good time. This time the snow was delightful in the form of yummy snow cones!

Registered Dietician (Provisional) * Permanent appointment requires successful completion, and placement, through the Civil Service examination process. The work involves responsibility for planning and carrying out the nutritional needs of residents in county nursing homes. The incumbent assesses nutritional needs of residents based on federal and state guidelines. The Registered Dietician also determines if residents are at nutritional risk and consults with physicians and ...other health care professionals. The work is carried out under the general supervision of the Nursing Home Administrator. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate program staff. Minimum Qualifications: Must have graduated from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grand degrees with a Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition and registration or eligibility for registration by the American Dietetic Association. Must possess and maintain a driver's license appropriate to operate a vehicle in New York State. We offer an excellent benefits package including health, vision and dental coverage; 10 days paid vacation after your first year; 11 days off in lieu of holidays; 4 personal days and NYS Retirement. (We have plenty of decorated trees throughout the facility.) No candles or hazardous items. No glass ornaments. Treasured breakables are discouraged. At the end of the contest, decorations will be considered donated to the facilities for all resident use in the future. If you have a specific item that must be returned. Please label it clearly on the box and clearly on the item! We have some residents whose families are unable to provide a box, so community involvement is crucial to make this even a success!
