Pittsford Youth Services is looking for a LMSW/LCSW who has experience with elementary school-aged children, to assist with mental health and behavioral concerns, provide classroom support, consult with school personnel, parents and have knowledge of community resources. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy in the school setting, as well as home visits. Must have knowledge and understanding of educational systems and ability to effectively collabora...te with parents, students, school personnel, and the community at large. Requires experience with intakes, assessments, crisis prevention and intervention. Approximately 20 hours per week, with opportunities to see private clients from the community at our offices, in addition to contracted school hours. Supervision with our Clinical Director weekly, especially important to those seeking to obtain their LCSW. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience. PYS needs you help this year more than ever. We are hoping to hold a live Derby in September in conjunction with the Town's fall event, if folks are comfortable at that point getting together in a large outdoor group setting. If not, we will create a virtual event so that we can still hold our most important fundraiser. After much discussion about being able to offer camp this year, we are pleased to announce that Camp Heartstrings/Camp Dreams will be held on June 28-30 at Naza...reth College this year with Covid protocols in place.. This camp is offered at no cost to Rochester and surrounding area families again this year.
