ANNOUNCEMENT: To Our Valued Customers & Our Local Community, In the interest of full transparency, and as luck would have it as we embark on transitioning to our new location, we would like to inform the public that an individual helping out in the new building on Friday January 8th, tested positive for COVID-19 ***yesterday*** evening, Saturday, Jan. 9th. This person had limited exposure with our staff on Friday and briefly entered the existing location for food around 1pm.... All persons working at the Pizza Works existing building and new building including contractors and vendors are required to wear masks along with following COVID protocols and as was the case here. This person did have close contact with a Pizza Works employee who was not working at the existing store that day but was assisting this individual with projects at the new location. This employee has since been placed in quarantine until testing and results are obtained. As such, we will be delaying our anticipated opening date at the new location as we sort out all and any effects of this incident over the next two weeks. We will continue to operate at the current location in the meantime with the exception of the following; Pizza Works will be closed Sunday, Jan. 10th, and Monday, Jan. 11th, and re-open at our EXISTING location on Tuesday, Jan. 12th at 11:00am. We have decided to close out of an abundance of caution and proceed to have our establishment cleaned and disinfected in accordance with NYS DOH protocol. We would like to assure the public that we are taking all necessary steps for a safe reopening. The person that tested positive visited the restaurant for lunch on Friday 1/8/2021 around 1PM. Pizza Works number one priority has been and will continue to be the health and safety of our patrons and staff. As always, we will continue to work diligently to maintain and exceed all mandatory COVID-19 safety procedures set in place by New York State. This includes but is not limited to the following: -Mandatory mask requirement for all employees and patrons -Strict enforcement of all social distancing rules -Ongoing daily sanitation We would like to thank you in advance for your continued patience and support during this time.
