September 16th...it’s hard to believe that our indoor dining has been closed for a half a year...6 hard months later and we finally get to open our doors. Playwright Irish Pub 35th and Playwright Celtic Pub will be ready for the craic on September 30th. We cannot wait to see all our customers both old and new once again! Stop by for a pint and a laugh.

We are broken and devastated to have to write this message. Our friend, our dearest Madridista Nevie Lacayo passed this morning after a long and brave fight aga...inst Covid. Nevito was one of our oldest and most loyal members. He had a special way of bringing people together. He documented our family through the years, always taking pictures, always behind the camera, always with a huge smile. Nuestro corazon esta roto. Es el dia mas triste de nuestra Peña. Nevie era un ser de luz y ahora ilumina nuestro camino desde el cielo. Su perdida sera irreparable. El cielo gano un angel y a un madridista eterno. We mourn the death of a family member. We will miss you dearest friend and we extend our deepest condolences to Nevie's wife, children, sister and mother and all who Nevie touched with his huge heart, his kindness, amazing sense of humor and willingness to help others.
