Just a reminder... Sold Gun Raffle tickets need to be turned in as soon possible. Dead line is Noon on Saturday September 28th at the Chicken BBQ at the club. If you have unsold tickets, please turn them in ASAP so we can sell them at the BBQ. Thank you

The time has come for the club to come up with new ideas to replace the Annual Game Dinner. It has been a lot of work for the same few people year after year. We are asking for your suggestions or ideas that will continue to bring in the same level of revenue to enable us to pay the annual taxes and support all the activities we have at the club including Concealed Carry Training, Trap Shooting, and Youth Trap. You can share your ideas on here or feel free to contact any Officer to discuss your thoughts. We would appreciate your ideas as soon as possible so we can come up with new fund raising ideas for this year. We look forward to hearing from you.

If you signed up to attend the gun seminar tomorrow night in Ellicottville, we will be meeting in the back parking lot at Olean General Hospital (closest to Rt. 16 N) at 4:30 PM to share rides. Any questions, call Randy at 372-4406

The Annual Game Dinner was held last night. Attendance was way down and a lot of good went to waste. The winners of the guns were Brad Davis from Bolivar, Carolyn Kolasinski from Olean, and Chris Travis from Portville. Thank you to those who did attend and supported the event. We would also like to thank those who donated items for the raffles.

On Saturday, October 14th, Olean Rod and Gun Club and Portville Conservation Club shot 100 rounds in the 2nd Annual Olean Portville Falling Leaves Trap Shoot. Twenty-two shooters shot (50) rounds at 16 yd trap at Olean Club then shot (50) rounds of wobble trap at Portville. The trap shoot went well and the weather was great for Fall shooting. Mike Manzo was "Top Gun" with a 96 followed by Dakota Green and, Pat Caya with 95, Gary Stuckey with 94 and Jim Green and Randy Hil...l with 93. Portville won the shoot with 470 to Olean's 455. The day ended with lunch prepared by Roger Lowe.. Thank you's go out to Dan Lowe, Bob Button, Gary Stuckey, Mike Manzo and Robin Pearl. All winnings went to the Portville Bird Busters Youth Trap Program.

There will be a work detail at the club Friday at 9:00 AM to prepare the club for the Game Dinner. We need to bring firewood in, set up for the dinner, and clean the club. Anyone available to come up, we would appreicate your help. Breakfast will be served at the club starting around 7:30. Any questions, call Randy Hill at 372-4406.

One week until the Annual Game Dinner - October 21st! Dinner will start at 5:30 PM. If you have meat to donate, please bring it to the club this Thursday evening (October 19th). If you still have Gun Raffle tickets to sell, please get them sold. If you need to turn tickets in, please do not mail them. Please bring them to the club Thursday evening, Friday evening, or Saturday before noon. If you have any questions, please call Randy Hill at 372-4406.
