A little checking up on Blotter reports:

UPDATE- missing 15-year-old Julianne Lanzieri has been located in good health! She was originally reported missing on Friday May 14, 2021. Troopers out of SP Boston handled the incident.

Today Potsdam PD officers were called to assist the NYS Police with locating a suspect who fled from troopers on foot from a traffic stop. A ground search was conducted and the suspect was located using a K9 track in the area of the Village DPW barns. Any further information about the investigation will come from the State Police. The suspect was located in part due to tips from vigilant community members, and we are thankful for their help!

JEBADIAH J. BRENNO Wanted by the New York State Police Troop B, SP GOUVERNEUR Wanted for assault 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree Jebad...iah J. Brenno is wanted by the Oswegatchie Town Court for an assault that took place on December 24, 2020, at a residence on Lee Road in the town of Oswegatchie. Brenno attacked the victim with a machete, resulting in multiple lacerations and stab wounds. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of this individual, should contact the NEW YORK STATE POLICE ASAP. ***At approximately 6:10pm Patrols responded to a train derailment in the vicinity of Washington Street and Smalley Lane. No injuries or or contamination were reported and there is no immediate danger to the public. CSX was notified and are working to clear the crossings. Be advised that Railroad crossings at Pine Street, Elderkin Street, Washington Street, Walnut Street, Larnard Street and Cherry Street are closed to vehicle and foot traffic at this time and are expected to remain closed for several hours. The Potsdam Police Department will release further information once it is received.***

The Potsdam Police Department is excited to take part in the Toys for Tots program for the fifth year, and to help send a message to children in our local communities that the magic of Christmas is for every child. Toys for Tots is a national campaign that collects toys to be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of the program is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of ...hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Beginning Saturday, November 7th and through Saturday, December 19th, you can help send this message of hope to our local children by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy in the donation bin located in the front lobby of the Potsdam Police Department, 38 Main Street. We look forward to the community support and wish everyone a safe, happy holiday season! No Shave November During the month of November, Potsdam Police Department members with be participating in No Shave November. Funds raised over the course of the month will be donated to aid those fighting the battle against cancer.
