So you are probably aware that the Governor has announced that fully vaccinated people need not wear masks in public (with certain exceptions). Unfortunately w...e are not quite ready to let everyone who is vaccinated not wear a mask at this week's event as the City has not determined how venues in the City should enforce this new policy. We will have a solution in place for next weeks event (I am supposed to call in on Monday for how this will work), but we would ask that you wear your mask and social distance as normal this week, and we will let you know as soon as we know how this will work for next week. I will be checking vendors vaccinations, and fully vaccinated vendors will have the option of not wearing as mask at the event as cooking in the heat is already difficult enough without a mask. This was okayed by the City. We found this portion of a cast iron sign where we are doing the bike trail that would have been from the Delaware & Hudson Canal Co (so some time prior to 1898...) talking about a public crossing. When we have time we will sand blast this section (this stuff on this does not wash off, hard to remove even with a chisel) and look to see if we can find more of the sign (the breaks on the edge of the sign are all very old, so guessing it broke quite a while ago) The Shirt Factory, 21 Cooper St., Glens Falls #shirtfactorygf See more

We are getting lots of work done this spring The Shirt Factory. Clyde is building more tables (we will have a total of 36 of the 12 foot long tables, double wh...at we had in 2019) Services Unlimited is regrading the lot behind Glens Falls Produce for additional parking including pulling out old railroad track and ties. They are also replacing a retaining wall behind Rock Hill Bakehouse & Cafe which will become a new connecting path between the Cooper Street Lot and the Rockhill parking lot. The old storage trailer has gone to a new home. Services Unlimited will also start paving a path along the old rail path to connect the bike trail to the back of The Shirt Factory this week as well. We are going to do something a little different this year with our annual Shoppers Advantage program at Shirt Factory Holiday "Open House" Sale 2020. For eve...ry $25 spent at ANY small business in the area (anywhere) Friday thru Sunday you will get one raffle ticket toward a basket of items from The Shirt Factory, plus some randomly purchased gift certificates from downtown Glens Falls businesses. #shoplocal, #shopsmall, #shirtfactorygf Rules: Purchases must have paper receipt dated 11/27-11/29 and name of business, small businesses only (no nationally branded chains, no fast food, no gas stations qualify) bring receipts to the Shirt Factory for validation Friday thru Sunday 10am to 5pm to receive raffle tickets at the loading dock. One winner pulled each day. Gift certificates were purchased by my 8 and 14 year old kids walking around downtown so you know they were purchased at random (or at least that was as far as they wanted to walk). They will be randomly placed into the gift bags that are raffled off along with other items and gift certificates from around The Shirt Factory. If you are a winner we will contact you by the phone number you leave with us.

For those who are wondering, Pottery by Debbie D will be open Friday 10 -5 and Saturday morning, of this Open House. Sadly with the current Covid pandemic, I will not be able to offer my usual mini lessons or any hands on activities.
