We were called to open this safe after one of our competitors failed to open the safe and subsequently ruined it. He misdiagnosed the problem, drilled and ruined the functioning electronic lock, and in the process broke the glass located in front of the lock thereby firing the safes relocker. He also left numerous hammer marks on the door from his continuous hammering, thinking somehow that was going to open the safe. This character also thought it would be helpful to write o...n the face of the safe that the glass is broken and relocker is 'out', the correct term is 'fired' or extended, not out. If we were called first, this safe could have been opened with one easily repairable hole. Now, the safe is garbage and the customer needs a replacement. The story is that the customers contractor said it would be no problem to dispose of the safe. The contractor tried cutting the safe apart but eventually gave up. We don't know if the contractor was planning to bury the safe or if there was some other work to be done in the garage. Either way, the job has been made very difficult an...d dangerous, with a good chance of the thin cement floor collapsing.
