Because we are deeply invested in the mission of diversity and inclusion, we cannot ignore the hate incidents against the Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community that have been on the rise. We stand with the AAPI community and all AAPI students who have been impacted by the news of physical assault and verbal harassment as acts of racism. If you identify as an AAPI full-time undergraduate student at an accredited four-year college or university majoring in PR, know that we are advocating for you in the form of financial resources. Take a look at our scholarships and learn more about what the PRSA Foundation is doing to support students of color. https://www.prsafoundation.org/scholarships-awards/ #StopAsianHate #StopAAPIHate

In the spirit of Black History Month, we remain devoted and true to our mission - "Rising Talent. Raising Diversity." To our Black/African-American students, your voices matter and so do your dreams. Our goal is to amplify your voices throughout the public relations industry and to uplift your dreams of working in the profession - not just this month but year round. To our supporters, we thank you for helping us to do just that. We’re elated to announce that the The PRSA Foundation has named Dr. Aerial Ellis as its new President. Dr. Ellis is a rising leader in the communications industry as well as an entrepreneur, educator and dedicated advocate of improving #diversity, #equity and #inclusion within public relations. Prior to her role as President, she served on the board as a representative of the PRSA National Board. ... Dr. Ellis succeeds Joe Cohen, following the completion of his tenure as President. Dr. Ellis is managing principal of Advisory 83 and an Assistant Professor of PR and PRSSA Chapter adviser at Lipscomb University. We look forward to witnessing all of the great thinking and passion that Dr. Aerial Ellis will surely bring to her new role!
