On May 13, 1965, Dr. Martin L...uther King, Jr. was the first speaker in QC's John F. Kennedy Memorial Lecture Series, where he spoke to students about civil rights. He mentioned QC student Andrew Goodman, who in 1964 was murdered in Mississippi along with James Chaney and Michael Schwerner while registering African Americans to vote. See more
