I'm excited and happy to be a part of the BOSA team. Dan Dominguez has put together an excellent team that can help people from injury to recovery into maintenance so they can stay pain free and see their best potential for mobility and strength. Reposted from @bosa716 Please welcome Dr. Richard Hazel, D.Ac Licensed Acupuncturist at BOSA Acupuncture & Wellness. ... Now accepting new patients. Dr. Rich Hazel is a dedicated acupuncturist and pioneer in the orthopedic acupuncture field. He now brings his expertise and unique style to our BOSA community! Strategic Plays Dr. Rich Hazel is one of New York’s most sought-after acupuncturists and teachers. He is well-known for blending science and strategy to help his patients ditch pain and get back in the game. Rich’s dedication to effective pain-relief strategies started early on in his acupuncture education. He quickly realized that injury, pain, and other health issues are inherently tied to body mechanics. By truly understanding how the body works, moves, and heals, he would be able to help people recover quicker, faster, and with less intervention. So, Rich dedicated several years to studying with some of the most respected masters and leaders in sport and orthopedic medicine. He completed extensive training in neurofunctional acupuncture and functional muscle assessment. He studied the works of Dr. Janet Travell and Dr. C Chan Gunn to gain greater insight on trigger points and myofascial pain. He was one of few students who saw the power of motor-point acupuncture and began adopting this style into his practice early on. This range of expertise gave Rich a deep understanding and a highly strategic method to help people recover. From Player to Coach It wasn’t long before Rich’s unique style and techniques captured the fascination of other bodyworkers and therapists, hoping to achieve the same results for their patients. Rich now teaches his unique methods and style to other orthopedic practitioners in the US and abroad. Team Player We are proud to welcome Dr. Rich Hazel to the BOSA team!
