We are currently working on a plan open various parts of our operation. For now, we are NOT giving away or repairing bikes. We do, however, have a few bikes available for sale on Saturdays. The stock is limited and sales are first come, first serve, 11AM - 1PM.

R Community Bikes joins with other organizations and individuals in mourning the tragic death of Daniel Prude in March of this year. We at RCB serve a very wide array of community members in our outreach efforts. Among those folks are many who suffer mental illness to varying degrees. While our dealing can frequently be stressful we always try to remain aware of their needs and life circumstances. This does not seem to be the case in Daniel’s encounters leading to his tragic death. Our condolences go out to the members of the Prude family and also to the many good and decent members of the Rochester community as we attempt to heal from yet another incident. Black Lives Matter

JUNE 6TH UPDATE We remain closed to the public as we reassess our capabilities to reopen. We are currently not doing repairs of any kind and will only be doing those by appointment in the future. This is to avoid any large gatherings. Give aways will be done through outside agencies and not at 226, again to avoid crowds. We are not now accepting donations of used bikes as we sort through our current inventory. Your patience is appreciated.

R Community Bikes 18.07.2020

As of Thursday May 21, 2020, we continue to be closed for the foreseeable future. We will reopen asap and as soon as we can do it safely.
