Our May 5K was very, very, very wet! While the turnout was small, we were extremely proud of the runners who braved the unruly weather. The resilience, dedication and fabulous attitude they brought to the event was truly inspiring. We were also extremely grateful to the families and friends who came out in the pouring rain to show their support and to celebrate the effort of our students. Did you know that getting active releases endorphins, which are chemicals in your brain that can help you feel happy and less stressed? What are some ways you keep your body moving? The "Over the Rainbow" Relay last Saturday was a ton of fun. The runners were divided into teams and competed to see which group could get to the "Pot of Gold" (swipe to see our prize ) at the finish line the quickest. Luck was on our side, as the forecasted rain held off until the last runners finished the course. The Reece Racers are getting faster with each event, and we were thrilled to watch the runners sprint the course with such focus and determination. Our next event is scheduled for May 7th. On Saturday, June 19th, the Reece Racers met for The RESILIENCE RUN. This final run of our 2020-2021 Season was a celebration of all the runners on the team and their TOUGHNESS! Despite the challenges of this year, Reece Racers have stayed connected, committed, and strong! Coaches Charlotte, Kaitlin, and Karen wanted to give a huge shout-out to the alumni runners and their families. Started by this current group of alumni, we hope in the years to come that returning to Reece Racers events will become a tradition.
