Today we toast the life of Grand Master Eizo Shimabukuro (April 19, 1925 October 22, 2017). OSensei Shimabukuro has shared with us far more than blocks, punch...es and kicks. He has blessed us with a way of life like no other. His many lessons in the dojo and at his kitchen table taught us to be healthy, humble as well as how to defend ourselves. His impact on our lives, our student’s lives and the lives of future students will be immeasurable. Although I am very sad today, I am truly thankful for all the time I was able to spend with him and that I will spend teaching his lessons. Domoarigato OSensei! See more
