Today's NY Cow of the Century is Golden-Rose ABS Ginger-ET EX-94, EX-95 MS. She was the first 19th generation Excellent in the Holstein Breed, going back to ano...ther NY Cow of the Century, Audrey Posch. Ginger was 1st 4-Year-Old and Grand Champion at the NY State Fair in 2018. She was bred by Golden Rose Genetics & Marketing in PA, and is owned by Dick Witter of PA and the Conard Family of Ridgedale Farm in Sharon Springs, NY. Ginger's daughter, Golden-Rose Barbritzi B-Red EX-90 completed the 20th generation of Excellent cows from Audrey Posch. In a Cowsmopolitan, Inc. article on the accomplishment Sherry Bunting wrote: "Barbritzi’s dam, Ginger, maxed out each time she classified, Rusty Herr notes. Golden-Rose ABS Ginger-ET EX-94, sired by Apples Absolute-Red had been purchased 10 days fresh by Mike Garrow at Rusty’s 2015 sale. She scored VG-89 as a 2-year-old, EX-92 as a 3-year-old and was then sold to Ridgedale Farm and Dick Witter where she went right to EX-94 after her third calf." Now at Ridgedale, she is making some fancy calves by Jordy, Doorman and Altitude, and is currently in their flush program.
