October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!! Do you have a shelter dog you are celebrating this month?

Halloween is around the corner!! Happy Spooktober everyone!!

This upcoming Fourth of July should be a fun time for you and your families to celebrate, but all of the festivities can be frightening and even dangerous for animals. Below are a few tips on how to keep your pets safe during this holiday. Leave your pets at home when you go to parties, fireworks displays, parades and other gatherings. Loud fireworks, unfamiliar places and crowds can all be very stressful and scary to pets, creating a greater risk of pets becoming spooked a...nd running away. Consider putting your pets in a safe, escape-proof room or crate during parties and fireworks. Keep sparklers, glow sticks, fireworks, charcoal and kabob skewers away from pets. Don’t let pets get near your barbecue grill while it is in use or still hot. Avoid the urge to feed your pets table scraps such as ribs, hotdogs, hamburgers and corn on the cob. Too much sun and heat can be dangerous to pets. Keep your pets inside when it’s extremely hot/humid; while outside make sure they have access to shady spots and plenty of water. As NY State is starting to reopen, keeping you and your pets healthy is our number one priority!! What we are doing to keep you and your pet healthy.. We have increased the frequency and intensity of our daily cleaning and sanitation. Regularly cleaning door knobs, counters, and other high traffic areas. Hand sanitizer is available at the reception desk. Please feel free to use it. We will offer to allow our clients to wait in their cars during patient treatments if they are not comfortable waiting in the lobby. Please be mindful of social distancing as per CDC,... and Monroe County Health Department recommendations. We do ask that you please reschedule or make alternative arrangements if you or someone in your household is not feeling well.
