Hello everyone!!!!! I hope you are all well and staying safe. I don’t have a way to reach you individually other than through here sadly but if you would like to friend request me please do and then when things like this happen I can still let you know until this whole pandemic that we are all going through weakens to the point were we can return to some sort of normalcy.... phew that was a mouthful!!! To our Rip Van Winkle Staff.... Over the years we have had the most dedicated and awesome people that you could ever ask for work for us. No matter the weather; or time of year, whether we were opening for the season and there was still snow on the ground lingering around, or it was the middle of the summer and temperatures were soaring with the humidity making it feel ten times worse, you came in to make sure the rooms and cabins were ready for our guests that were coming o...r staying. There were days when it rained so hard that you were dodging the mini waterfalls.... and who can forget the fall when we were closing for the season??? Sometimes filling in when you would have rather been at home. You are what made Rip great! There is no doubt that you worked your butts off and for that we will always be grateful.... Thank You Robert, Marilyn and Linda

It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to all of you as we have decided to move on. Our families have spent a lifetime in the hospitality business; 91 years in fact, and it is time to pass it on to someone new. We are pleased to announce that Rip Van Winkle has been sold. Thank you Angela Lanuto Lic. Associate Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty. Rip Van Winkle will remain but under new ownership, Erin and Brendin will carry on. We kno...w you will like them as much as we do. They are so excited to take over, and we know that we are leaving you in good hands. May you continue to enjoy vacationing at Rip Van Winkle. We will see you I’m sure!! You all have become family to us and will be missed. It is bittersweet to leave....We thank you for the many laughs and memories ..... Robert, Marilyn and Linda

Look what I just found!! Another post card that is older yet than the other ones I have posted a few days ago. Stayed tuned for more postcards from before because I found some more in my collection. I also found some more candids no one saw me take until later have a great day!

We may be closed for the season but that doesn’t mean we have forgotten... To all those who have served, and who are currently serving; to the many many people who sacrificed their lives and their families who died with them and to those families today as they wait for their loved ones to come home... we thank you all and wish you a Happy Veterans Day.

Everyone I’d like to introduce you to Andre Quinitchett. This member of our community has decided that the dumpster WE PAY FOR is for public use. Andre not only filled our dumpster with his sh## he so kindly included his name, old address and new address! So if and when you see Andre let him know a bill is on its way, and if he has trouble finding the local dump I’m sure the police dept will gladly help you out. Rip Van Winkle Motor Lodge.

Happy Tuesday to everyone!!! In case you may have missed it we are now on vacation ourselves!! Thank you to all of our valuable customers, friends and families that came and visited us this past season, without you we would not have been as successful as we have been in the last 92 years!!! We will be taking a much needed break until next April 2020, until then stay tuned for some pictures that were taken during the season....
