Congratulations to our friend G. Peter Jemison!
Introducing the next Director of the Native American Future Stewards Program. Clifford Cliff Jacobs (he/him/his). Cliff is from the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in Lewiston, NY. A graduate of Syracuse University and Columbia University School of Social Work, Cliff worked in the Brooklyn Criminal and Supreme Courts and in the Rikers Island Prison Complex supporting clients involved in the criminal justice system. Cliff is a trained Native American Peacemaker through the ...Red Hook Community Justice Center in Brooklyn, NY and former Residence Hall Director (RHD) at Columbia University. Cliff's most recent role was in Columbia Residential Life as the Assistant Director of the Special Interest Communities where he managed all identity and interest-based groups including the Manhattan House, the Indigenous community on Columbia’s campus. Cliff is excited to join the RIT community and get to know the campus community and students! Some fun facts about Cliff: 1. Cliff is an avid volleyball player. He played in high school, college, and when he was in NYC! 2. Cliff is one of seven children! 3. Cliff went to an all Native American elementary school through sixth grade and learned culture and language classes every day. Cliff’s first day will be July 1!
