Forbearance does not mean customers never have to pay and, instead, for the approved timeframe, currently a minimum of 90-days, their payments are suspended and they do not need to make a payment. Customers will not be charged any late fees during this time, and their loan will remain current and their credit bureau reporting will reflect the account current. It's important to know each situation will be different and when the c...ustomer connects with a mortgage servicing specialist, they can walk them through those options. One option could be paying all three months at the end of the 90 days to bring the account current. Another option could be spreading the forbeared payments over multiple months. A final option could be applying for a modification and re-amortize the loan. 2. If you are unable to make your mortgage payment, we are offering several customer assistance programs that may allow you to have your mortgage payments suspended for up to 180 days (6 months). Our forbearance program allows for a suspension of your payments for up to 180 days. With our customer assistance programs, you will not be charged any late fees and your account be reported as current to the Credit Reporting Agencies if, after the initial 180 days suspension of payments your hardship has still not been resolved, we will continue to work with you. 3. If you are unable to pay the suspended installments in full, options such as extending the forbearance program up to an additional 180 days, repayment plans, or a loan modification may be available to you if you meet requirements.
