This is the season of giving. Today I visited the United Way in Monticello to bring some donations. They were a well-oiled machine, packing Thanksgiving dinner...s to feed 200 families. While there, I inquired about the Snowman projectyou know- the one where a Snowman card has the name and age of a child who would be grateful for a gift during the holidaysmaybe the only gift they will receive. The official program is called Project Care Toy Drive. The flyer is below. If you have the means, I would be grateful if you would stop by the United Way on 33 N. Lakewood Avenue in Monticello to pick up a Snowman or two or three. They are also grouped by families, so you can take one or an entire family. I know they would be so appreciative. If you have questions you can call them at 845 794 1771 and speak with Julian or Valerie. Thank you so much and happy Thanksgiving.

The 2nd Order of Race Shirts have arrived! They will be available for pick up in Monticello (Sullivan County participants- come to 461 Broadway - Law Offices of Billig, Loughlin & Silver on Monday-Thursday 9-5 and Friday 9-3) and Middletown (Orange County participants- go to Frank's Shoes, 329 NY 211) starting next week. For those in Rock Hill who want to pick up on Wednesday evening, I'll have a table set up in the Farmer's Market parking lot during the Wednesday Concert Series at 6 PM - 8 PM. Good morning! It's R4 race day and I can't wait to see you all. The sun is rising on what will surely be a great day and a great time at the R4. Online registration is still open. Try to register BEFORE you come to the site. The Trevor Lo...ughlin foundation grants to patients with blood cancer and other acute catastrophic illnesses. You can also become a bone marrow donor-- with a kit that you will find in your race packet if you are between 18-55. It has everything in it to support your decision. If not eligible, or not interested, please find one person you know who may be. Remember- you could become the hero that saves a life, and that's what the R4 is all about. We are just 2 days from the R4!! If you pre-registered, we will have your race packets available for pick up on Friday, 12 AM-2PM, at the Race Site - 219 Lake Louise Marie Rd. Rock Hill (formerly Frontier- now Rock Hill School and Center for Discovery). Look for white tent.
