We know that we all want to be playing Box Lacrosse right now instead of wearing masks to Wegmans. We get it.... We did get the green light from our producer that they will turn on the factory on May 1st and we can start the shipping process. We hope to get our order in the first week of May. As we learn more about starting up the leagues again we will keep you all posted. Continue to stay well and safe.

The Can Am hosted our Monthly Meeting via conference call. All Executive Board Members and Team Reps were in attendance to the call. Regular agenda business wa...s followed as usual. Under New Business discussed was the current situation with Coronavirus and Covid-19 and what to do with the 2020 Can Am Lacrosse season. An agreement was made to Delay the season until further notice, while we continue to monitor and continue our meetings, if need be conference call, keeping teams and all up to date. Our meetings have been, and will continue to be the third Saturday of each Month. Thank you for your patience and support. We hope for everyone's health and saftey. All for now. See more

To our River Monsters Family: It is with great sadness that we are making this announcement. The North American Minor Lacrosse Association, the league we play in, has come to the decision that we are not able to continue play this season. Due to this situation, we will be suspending operations of our NAMLA teams for the 2020 season. ... For those of you who have already signed up for the season we will be refunding your payments and stopping payment plans over the next few days. Stay tuned to our page for announcements regarding team activities once we have gotten through this crisis. We thank everyone for their continued support and we hope that all of you stay safe and healthy.

Today we learned that our home arena, Genesee Valley Recreation Complex is Closed for the season. We also learned that the Rochester Sports Garden is closed until further notice. Right now this poses a big challenge as we will need to find another arena that fits the requirements of the leagues in the Rochester area. As things progress we will be working with both CAN-AM and NAMLA to find the best solution moving forward for this season. This is something both organizatio...ns have never faced before and poses a challenge as we get closer to the beginning of the season. We ask that you continue to follow the recommendations of government officials to ensure that the spread of the virus is contained quickly and we are able to get back to normal life. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available, although this virus might have made us take a step back and pull together as a community its not going to slow down any of our passion for the game of box lacrosse in Rochester and no matter what happens we will be back! To all members of the Rochester Sports Garden: With the first reported case of Covid-19 in Monroe County, we wanted to reach out and touch on what we are doing ...over here to help contain the spread of the coronavirus and reduce the chances of our customers contracting Covid-19. At this time, all scheduled events are slated to continue as planned. That goes for all league games, private reservations and events. Courts, fields, and batting cages are still available for rent and all CrossFit RSG classes are scheduled to continue. We are taking precautionary measures at this time. We have started intensifying our disinfecting regiment and have added an electrostatic disinfectant sprayer to our arsenal. High touch surfaces will be disinfected at least once daily, and we are adding a hand washing station. Awareness signage will also be posted throughout the facility. We are looking at additional steps and will continue to monitor this situation closely and continue to keep you all informed best we can. Thank you!

At this time the Rochester River Monsters ARE still planning on having our practices on Saturday March 14th from 9:30-10:30AM and 10:30-11:30AM. Our facility partner, Rochester Sports Garden is taken many precautions to help ensure the safety of the facility in regard to COVID-19. We respectfully ask that if you or someone in your household is feeling ill to please refrain from attending practice. We also ask you to use caution in your judgement for your own personal safety.... If you do not feel safe coming to a public facility tomorrow please be comfortable in staying home. For those of you who can make it tomorrow, we look forward to seeing you in the morning! All are welcome, if you have not signed up for the team as of yet we are charging $10 per player dropping in.
