Coming Spring 2021 We are expanding and opening a tack shop here at the farm! New & quality used tack- Saddles, bridles, bits, pads, blankets, grooming & stable supplies, & more. All the basics! We will be able to set up anyone buying a new horse with everything they need, right here on the farm. ... Tell us- what are the go to items you would look to pick up in a local tack shop?!

ISO: Farm Hand Livestock experience preferred. Feeding livestock, turning out horses, cleaning stalls. Hay & yardwork. Ideal candidate will be available Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday. Other days are negotiable. Currently part-time but could have more hours for a capable English/western rider (position currently does not include riding). Must be RELIABLE and have transportation. We don’t teach a whole lot of lessons, but when we can we try to incorporate the sale horses into our lesson program. Chip received the seal of approval from both of his lesson students this past weekend!

Chester- 14.1h, 9yr Crossbred Pony Gelding $2850 Video: https://youtu.be/PG7IZYyY7Mc This is one cool pony! He is well broke both to ride & drive. Chester is the perfect size to be easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry just about any rider. He is a ton of fun to ride whether you're working in the arena or hacking out around the farm. Chester has a big floaty trot stride and can really extend nicely if you ask him too. He will canter both leads and is learning to ...collect and balance in the arena. He loves to hit the trails and rode out very willingly away from the barn on his own. Likes to trail ride with friends too. Went right through snow, ditches, brush & more. Very sensible trail pony. We could see him exceling out in the hunt field too. Chester came in shod all the way around with road shoes (just had his feet done and is now barefoot for the winter) and has definitely been doing some driving. We don't have a harness/cart that fits him right, but we have line driven him and he certainly knows his job well. Chester turns out with a group of geldings and gets along nicely. He is easy to work around, good to groom & tack, stands to mount, loads & hauls well. Chester is a very sweet guy that's a pleasure to have in the barn. Rides & Drives Rita- 16yr, 15.1-15.2h Dark Bay Standardbred/Morgan Cross Mare $1950 Video: https://youtu.be/h26KkvgPM00... Here's a pretty mare that's very kind & sweet. Rita started her life as a driving horse and has more recently been used for riding. She works in the arena walk and trot, and is starting to figure out the canter too. She has been trail ridden, goes out nicely with another horse. Will lead or follow and was brave about blazing a trail. We have line driven Rita (I don't have a harness/cart big enough to hook her), she hasn't been driven in a while but she definitely knows the job! Nice all around mare that can do any job you give her. Rita is currently shod in front. She turns out with a group of mares and gets along well. Easy to catch and work around. Good to saddle & bridle. UTD on shots. Pretty mare that will suit someone that wants to trail ride, tune her up for the arena work some more, or hook her up and get her back driving. C...hip is the kind that anyone should be able to ride, whether working in the arena or heading down the trail. He's a sensible guy that walks, trots, and lopes easily. Will go under western or english tack and looks cute as can be either way. Has been ridden by both kids and adults. Chip loves to trail ride and will go anywhere you point the reins. Happy to lead or follow, doesn't mind other horses around him, there doesn't seem to be much that phases this guy. He will call back to his buddies if he can’t see a friend, but that’s the only place I can fault him. Chip is currently barefoot and sound, but will want front shoes if working on rough terrain. He goes out with a group of geldings and gets along great. Easy to groom & tack. Loads & hauls just fine too. Genuine all around gelding that will do any job you put in front of him.
